Jimmie Moreland - Fishing & Family

MY GEAR: Note: I'd like to mention ahead of time, and for anyone who might view this. I am in no way affiliated with any of these
companies. These are what I use, what I choose to buy, not something given to me by sponsors.
Shimano CuradoShimano Curado 200D: 1 - 5.0:1 / 1 - 7.0:1

I own 2 Shimano Curado 200D reels, which are spooled with 20# Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon Line. I've only owned these reels for a few months, actually switched over from the Abu Garcia Revo series reels to these, when I burn up a worm gear during the Weekend Series Event.

I absolutely love the feel of this reel. I mainly use these for throwing spinnerbaits/chatterbaits, shallow crankbaits, lipless crankbaits/rat-l-traps and swimbaits.

If you are throwing deep cranks, the 5.0:1 ratio reel is perfect, and I also use that gear ratio for lipless cranks/traps.

Shimano Chronarch: 1 - 6.2:1

I currently own only 1 of the Chronarch's, but that will change real soon! This real is amazing. If you know me, you know I love to pitch & flip. This reel is perfect for that! I purchased the reel at the same time I purchased the Curado's and couldn't be happier. I also have this spooled with 20# Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon.

I usually throw soft plastics with this reel (pitch & flip mostly) but will also use this for chatterbaits or lipless cranks if I want to speed the retrieve up.

Quantum Tour Edition PT BURNERQuatum Tour Edition PT: 1 - 7.1:1

I picked up the Quantum Tour Edition PT Burner Series reel on sale at Cabela's and have been super impressed with this reel. It will cast a country mile, and is silky smooth. I'm not opposed to picking up a few more of these down the road if this one hold's up to the tests of rigorous tournament action.

Shimano Stradic ST2500FI: 1 - 6.0:1

The Shimano Stradic is used primarily for my shakey head setup, but will also use it for drop shotting. This is an excellent reel and when paired with a Shimano Crucial rod, makes the perfect Shakey Head setup!

Falcon RodsFalcon Lowrider Rods: 4

I use the Falcon Lowirder series rods for all my baitcast setup. I couldn't be happier with the way the rods feel and the sensitivity is amazing. I own 1 Falcon Cara rod, and plan on trying out a few of the new Cara T7 Split Grip rods soon.

Hendrix Rods: 2

I've recently joined up with the crew at Hendrix Rods and can't be more impressed with the rods. I've got a Hendrix 70ML, for shallow cranking and it is theĀ  absolute best rod I've ever used, hands down. I also have a Hendrix 782-8 which is used for Shakey Head/Flick Shak. I had it custom built with a shorter handle than the standard spinning rod, and am super impressed. This rod has alot of backbone, so much so I horsed a 6lb largemouth out of some thick buck brush at Lake Lewisville, with no problems. I highly suggest you check out the Hendrix Rods line up.
